I look forward to showing you around. Military Bases in Our Area Information on VA Loans VA loan programs are now among the most coveted mortgage options available. Their combination of No Money Down and attractive 30-year fixed interest rates provide eligible veterans with a powerful financing tool to take advantage of the great values available in today's market. Current VA guidelines allow veterans with full VA eligibility the option to finance up to 100% of their purchase up to a loan amount of $417,000. Loan amounts above $417,000 are also permissible with a 10% down payment contribution required on the amount above $417,000. One of the most desirable aspects of VA financing is the exclusion of monthly mortgage insurance. Nearly all loans programs with down payment contributions of less than 20% require payment of a monthly mortgage insurance premium as part of the mortgage payment. This mortgage insurance serves to protect the lender's loan amount and can amount to several hundred dollars every month. The exclusion of this requirement is a huge benefit of VA financing!!
